The term ‘propaganda’ in and of itself is both sensational and polarizing. Most of us have a definition of it in our heads, but is it truly accurate? And is the political realm really the only place we are subject to it?
My returning guest Jim Wolfe and I are both firmly of the opinion that not only dating but also male/female relationships in particular are being propagandized increasingly often in today’s world. So first off, what really IS the proper definition of ‘propaganda’? What brand of it is going on here in the ‘free world’? And most pertinent of all to this particular conversation, how HAS dating and relating to women become propagandized in recent years?
Listen in as Jim introduces three types of filters we can use to identify and sort out ‘dating propaganda’. Is there relation-prop in our movies, and even our music?
Why is misinformation so effective at keeping men and women apart, when our own primal instincts are still very much intact? After all, the areas where we as men in particular are being propagandized are pretty obvious, aren’t they?
So what, then, are we as men to do? Should we react to being propagandized in a certain way? Should we double-down rather than get defensive about how we as men are being vilified in the post-modern world?
Or is there a better way to respond, that involves more real, actual male leadership? What is the ultimate, virtually foolproof ‘propaganda buster’…especially as it pertains to women and dating?
