This show drops one day before the 250th anniversary of the United States of America’s Declaration of Independence. To celebrate, my long-time friend, returning guest and all-around American guy Tommy Breedlove from Live Legendary joins me to talk about American men and America women. Especially the women.
This episode was recorded a couple of weeks ahead of time, when hardly anyone was talking about America 250. Even now as I write this, on July 2nd, there just isn’t as much conversation–let alone celebration–going on as there was back in 1976 for the Bicentennial. What’s up with that?
So then, what about American women? Are they the hottest in the world? When you think of another country, you probably picture one kind of woman. But here in the USA, American women come in all types. What makes American women particularly amazing?
The complaint nowadays is that American women are less feminine than they used to be. What’s the truth there?
And as far as American men go, the spirit has been an independent and pioneering one. Have younger men started losing the masculine edge and bold sense of adventure and ambition that made America so amazing to begin with? Or is all of this more of a media stereotype than boots-on-the-ground reality?
What about “America guilt”? Is that a thing? How did TV and movies influence how the world views American men and women? What is the true evidence that American men really do want to be heroes? What are electronics in particular (above and beyond the media broadcasted on them) doing to us as American men?
